new blog host

sorry about the blog changing. i decided the old blog which was in blogdrive was mm.. not complicated... but i'm just so used to blogspot. hehe. anyways, mdm koo commented in the previous blog on our proposal. she said there's another group that's doing modern batik. so, we'll go with the traditional one. i think we've always planned on the traditional batik. we just kinda forgotten to put up the 'traditional' word. i'm gonna put up our propposal again here. for reference.

Our Proposal

Project title: STOMP!

Project background

In the first meeting, we had discuss a few possible project that might reflect to our Malaysian culture and lifestyle such as banana leaf, Malaysian traditional dance, pasar malam (night market), village home stay, and a lot more. But we finalize our decision to pick Batik Malaysia as our major project. We got the idea of our project title from one of technique to produce batik, that is stamping.

Target audience

Our target audience is from the age 15 and above and unisex. Batik usually being wears by male adult during formal occasion and also sometimes secondary school student wears it during their school activities. So we assume that there will be no age limit after 15 years old.

Scope of the content

  • History of Malaysian batik.
  • Procedure of making batik.
  • Tradition.
  • Technique use.
  • Type of batik
  • Batik and religion

Objective of the project

Our objective of this project are to give information and description and at the same time promoting our own batik to the world.

Strategy to tackle objective

To achieve this objective, there's few step and plan that we will evaluate. The use of multimedia element is important to capture our target audience. We concentrate more in term of the design and interface because it is the most important element and it also gives the first impression of our target audience to the product. We also input interactivity that suitable for any level of audience for easy navigation and makes the overall project looks interesting and not boring. Our audience satisfaction are the most priority and it's the key whether this project will be a success or not.
